Police Officer
The Shenandoah Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Entrance testing will be conducted on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 9:00 AM, beginning at the Shenandoah Municipal Complex located at 29955 IH 45 North, Shenandoah, TX 77381. Applicant testing will consist of both a Physical Fitness and Written Exam.
Shenandoah Police Officers are responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance, enforcing all city ordinances, as well as state and federal laws. Police Officers are considered “Essential Personnel” which requires being on duty to respond during emergency situations, including, but not limited to, natural and/or man-made disasters.

Administrative Assistant - Police Department
This position provides administrative support to the Police Department. The individual would help greet the public, answer calls, and perform other administrative duties as required. Other duties include but are not limited to, compose correspondence, reports and other materials; arrange schedules and maintain appointments, meetings, conferences and travel arrangements for the department head; and prepare requisitions for department office supplies and materials. A qualified candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office. Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience. Background check and drug test required. Lifeguards - Part Time Seasonal
